I’ve been reaching out for help in three different ways, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any responses. I’m feeling quite overwhelmed because things have reached a critical point, and all I really want is to be able to go to college.
About four years ago, a fire destroyed my childhood home. My father took it upon himself to rebuild it, as if he believed it was his responsibility. However, he wasn’t able to complete the project properly. He made numerous code violations and mismanaged our finances along the way. Even before the fire, my parents’ relationship wasn’t the best, but now they don’t even talk to each other.
My mother spent years dealing with paperwork and eventually found a contractor to help with the rebuilding process. However, my father constantly tears down the work that is done, criticizing the crew and making his own unplanned additions. He has harassed the contractor to the point where the project has taken longer than it should have, accusing her of failing to meet his expectations.
Due to my mother’s exhaustion and frustration, she has decided to sell the house. But even now, my father is unwilling to let it be sold without continuing to work on it. This situation has caused a lot of uncertainty and stress for all of us.
I live in Oklahoma City, and I’m not sure if sharing this information will make a difference, but I’m hoping that someone can provide some guidance or support in this challenging situation.
