On a damp spring morning in the vast lands of Howlett’s Wild Animal Park, in the heart of England, Tany Aspen woke up to the sound of birds and the fresh scent of damp earth.
The only daughter of Daman Aspen, a visionary conservationist, Tany had an unusual childhood, filled with the care of her family and the attention of creatures that, to many, were only figures in documentaries or conservation icons.
