A fresh case of a proposal not going as expected has been captured on tape and shared on social media.
In a video posted on social media, a young man proposed to his woman in a shopping mall but she refused to accept.
The lady left on his knees and started walking out of the place but he quickly stood up and tried to stop her from leaving.
In a swift reaction, she turned and landed a hot slap on his face and it was a destabilising one that left him shook.
She then stormed off and never turned back while the guy remained in the same position as other men gathered round to console him.

In related news, a young Nigerian man recently got netizens talking because he chose to propose to his lover without having to kneel down.
The lover boy took his girlfriend to a club and popped the four-word question to her in the presence of close friends.
What was very interesting about the proposal was that he remained standing while asking for her hand in marriage.
In a video clip making the rounds online, he brought out the ring and presented it to his girlfriend in a confident manner.
Meanwhile his friends could be seen spraying money on the love birds as the girl said yes, stretched out her hand and her boyfriend put the ring on her.

The practice of surprising one’s intended spouse with an embarrassing public marriage proposal is alien to African cultures and should be discouraged.
Marriage is a serious matter that primarily concerns only the two (responsible) persons involved. So there’s absolutely NO NEED FOR ANY public display of a kneeling/pleading surprising proposal.
Some of these area boys were not trained to bend to greet their parents, because, according to them, it’s not their culture to either kneel down or prostrate for anyone. But they can kneel down for a lady in the name of proposing. Who taught them such culture?
