Brittany Wright headed off to a work conference in Seattle, never thinking she was about to meet her future husband. After all, she was already married.
Brittany met Tyler at the event, and after striking up a friendship, they discovered a commonality: They were both struggling in their marriages but trying their best to make it work.
The pair started off as good friends who turned to each other for support during a difficult time, but say they had no intention of developing a romance with one another.
Instead, Brittany and Tyler expected to return home to their spouses — until something unexpected happened on the last day of the work conference.
Brittany, who said she’d been texting back and forth with her husband all day, received one final message from him: “I want a divorce.” She returned home with a broken heart, preparing to pick up the pieces.
That’s when things got… interesting.
That very same day, just a couple hours later, Brittany received another phone call. Only this time, it was from Tyler.
