This black girl interrupted the court and told the judge that she was hungry. What she did left everyone in shock. The air in the courtroom was thick with tension as Nia stood before the judge. The judge was sitting behind the massive oak desk with a very serious look on his face.
He was Judge Kalisto, and he was known for following the law to the letter, no matter who was in trouble. Nia was a single mother, and she was in court for $200 parking tickets she could barely afford.
