Carmen Perez, aged 74, was watering her garden but her thoughts were elsewhere. Her children were in financial distress, with many debts to the banks due to late payments. Carmen was a good mother and didn’t want to abandon them. Her children asked her to sell her house and live with them.
Carmen thought it wasn’t a bad idea since she lived alone. She thought a lot before giving an answer to her children. However, one of them came to her house and made the decision for her. They made her sign some documents to close the sale. Carmen was packing when her daughter approached her.
