Nobody believed the homeless man when he got on the plane screaming that the aircraft was going to crash.But when the police arrived, everyone was perplexed and regretted it bitterly. It was a cold night in LA; the cold wind cut through the buildings and the streets, finding its way to LAX, where Joe, a homeless man, huddled in his cardboard. He was used to the airport because he always got some money or food from the passengers who passed by day and night.
With no home, no family, and no money, Joe’s life was ruled by the rhythm of the streets. However, he refused to let adversity turn him into a bitter man. On the contrary, he kept an attentive and curious eye on the world as if every day was an opportunity to learn something new.
In the shadows of LAX, amidst the sounds of planes taking off and landing, the homeless man was looking for a quiet corner to sleep that night. The city, with its thousands of inhabitants, had few spaces like that without many dangers. With the beautiful view of the aircraft taking off under the stars, especially for someone in his situation, it was the man’s dream to one day fly in one of those planes—a dream he knew would never come true.
