There was a time in my life when I was living from hand to mouth. I had a job, but it was one I landed with just my SHS certificate, so the pay was minimal.
Whatever I earned went straight into covering rent, transportation, food, and bills. Sometimes, it wasn’t even enough to meet all my needs. I couldn’t lean on my family for support either—things were tough for them too. I was essentially on my own.
