It is no longer news that the Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the winner of the Osun governorship election.

The Returning Officer for the election and Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, announced that Adeleke got a total of 403,371 votes beating the incumbent, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, who got 375,027 votes in a keenly contested race.

He said, “I declare Adeleke Ademola Jackson Nurudeen, on behalf of the chairman of INEC, of the PDP, having satisfied the requirement of the law, is hereby declared the winner and he is returned elected.”

While reacting to this, popular Nigerian Comedian, Francis Agoda better known as I Go Dye, has warned the incoming governor to listen to the cries of the people and do the needful.

He also warned him not to dance and forget how he got to the seat of power.

“BUHARI THAT I KNOW WILL NOT JOIN ANY GOVERNORS , POLITICIANS OR GROUP TO RIG ANY ELECTIONS IF HE LIKE LET HIM DANCE AND FORGET HOW HE GOT ELECTED,” I Go Dye wrote.

Adding, “The power of PVC. Buhari that I know will not join governors, politicians or groups to rig any election, he will not hand over Nigeria to someone that will destroy it more than this because the votes will surely count…so he will join forces with Nigerians to retire all the wicked politicians without benefits, those who have failed their people. This is a lesson to others if you like eat all the allocations, continue to do small roads, be signing MOU’s that don’t reflect in your state, don’t pay salaries and pensions as if the money belongs to you ;by the end of a four year tenure the people shall vote you out because truly power belongs to the people .This is not a party victory , but rather it clearly demonstrates that our vote is Counting.congratulations to Osun state people for sending a strong message to other people ,you have liberated your self. This is also a warning to Adeleke if he likes let him dance and forget how he got elected… the power belongs to the people. Before I forget…congratulations to Adeleke .Amb Francis Agoda.”
