A particular figure who stood out is his lawyer, Camille Vasquez, who played a significant role throughout the trial, especially in the cross-examination.

However, beyond her skills in court, viewers also noticed that she and Depp would hug and hold hands, sparking dating rumors on social media. “I hope johnny depp is dating his lawyer,” one person tweeted.
Meanwhile, another user claimed that Heard’s team started the rumors as soon as Depp began winning the case. Regardless of where the news came from, the pair’s body language shows that they have become close.
Speculations heightened to the point that paparazzi asked Vasquez herself if the hearsay was true. However, she did not answer the question directly and just smiled.

To answer the frequently asked question, Depp and Vasquez are not dating. According to a source, the actor and his lawyer only have a professional relationship. “[It is] entirely, 100 percent, unequivocally untrue,” the insider said of the rumor.

Depp has not spoken about his relationship status since the trial began, making his eligibility status public knowledge. However, he was previously linked to the British model and “Made In Chelsea” star Sophie Hermann in 2020.

WHO IS CAMILLE VASQUEZ?
Aside from the dating rumors, Vasquez became known for grilling Heard on the stand and making the jury believe Depp’s camp even more. She also provided photos of Heard looking well and without injury a day after the actress claimed to have been physically hurt by Depp.
Vasquez is a graduate of the University of Southern California and Southwestern Law School in 2006 and 2010, respectively. She is a current associate at Brown Rudnick’s Litigation & Arbitration Practice Group, specializing in plaintiff-side defamation suits.
