Amelia was always stopped from going into the old room at the end of the hallway. One night, she heard something odd and decided to check it out when Mark wasn’t around. But he caught her and finally revealed the truth.
Mark grew up in Baltimore, Maryland, but moved to New York for college where he met Amelia. They fell in love, got married, and worked in the city. Mark hadn’t mentioned that he owned his childhood home in Baltimore until he finished renovating it.
“I’ve been fixing it up for years. It cost a lot because the whole house was really old and many in my family lived there. But it’s all set now, and I hope we can move there soon. What do you think?” Mark asked Amelia.
