US Lieutenant General Ben Hodges believes that in the event of a Russian nuclear attack on Ukraine, the United States could strike at military bases in the occupied Crimea, writes Daily Mail.
“Perhaps the US response will not be nuclear, but destructive enough, for example, to destroy the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation or Russian bases in the occupied Crimea”, – said the general.
Former commander of US forces in Europe, Ben Hodges, considers the threat of a nuclear strike on Ukraine rather unlikely. However, according to him, any use of weapons of mass destruction will be a quick and tough response from US President Joe Biden.
“Therefore, I believe that Putin and his entourage do not want direct clashes with the USA”, – added by Hodges.
