Popular TV broadcaster, Rufai Oseni, has apologised to the general public for committing a traffic infraction in Lagos.

Earlier, the Arise TV presenter trended on social media after he claimed that a policeman pointed a gun at him for driving on a dedicated Bus Rapid Transit lane.

The presenter on Wednesday, however apologised via a video broadcasted on Arise TV.

His words, “As many of you know, in the last two days, I’ve been in the news for the wrong reasons. This has resulted in needless distraction for my friends, family, members of the public and for all my colleagues here on Arise News Channel.

“I would therefore like to apologise to all parties over what transpired during the incident with the police when I was stopped for driving on a bus lane. I cannot and dare not lay claims to knowing it at all.”

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin on Tuesday said Oseni was fined the sum of N70,000.

In his update, Hundeyin said, “Mr. Rufai Oseni was in court earlier today. He was found guilty of contravening Lagos State Transport Law (2018).

“He was subsequently fined Seventy Thousand Naira Only. He made the payment, after which his vehicle was released to him.”

Good for both him Rufai and Nigerian and the government too to be doing the right thing by the people and Rufai to stop criticising emotionally blandly sentimentally because you don’t like people because every human can makes mistakes and that sometimes things happening that beyond someone imagination

      Don’t be discouraged Rufai.
Put everything behind you and keep doing the great work you and your colleagues are doing on ARISE news.
