Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, (LP), Peter Obi has condemned the Nigerian system for criminalising young people who embrace tech while overlooking corrupt government officials and politicians.
He said that it is wrong for security officials to arrest young boys carrying laptops under the suspicion that they are internet fraudsters aka Yahoo Boys.
The former Anambra state governor was having a conversation with Nigerians on an airplane when he stated that such practice needs to change.
Obi, then, expressed disappointment over how the Accountant-General of the federation, Ahmed Idris who was arrested for allegedly embezzling N80bn was granted bail by the court.
