Demi Moore proved she and her ex-husband Bruce Willis have a lovely relationship by posting a throwback photo of the two at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival.
In the image shared on May 17, 2022, Bruce Willis appears wearing a classic black suit and bowtie, while Demi Moore is rocking a floor-length black dress and a red and black coat.
Willis’ current wife, Emma Heming, took to the comment section and wrote, “All the feels,” followed by a heart emoji and the word “beautiful.” It is clear that Moore and Willis are great co-parents and friends, so why did they divorce?

A TIMELINE OF DEMI MOORE AND BRUCE WILLIS’ RELATIONSHIP
Demi Moore and Bruce Willis, considered by many as the original Hollywood power couple, met in July 1987 at the premiere of her then-fiancé Emilio Estevez’s film “Stakeout.”
Willis and Moore must have felt an instant connection because she left Estevez and married Willis on November 21, 1987, inside their Golden Nugget hotel suite in Las Vegas.

Moore explained in her 2019 memoir that they had been joking about tying the knot during their flight from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. Once they were there, Willis suggested it again, and he was no longer kidding.
The couple started having children right away. Their eldest daughter, Rumer, was supposedly conceived on their wedding night and was born in August 1988. Demi Moore and Bruce Willis’ daughters Scout and Tallulah joined the brood in 1991 and 1994, respectively.
Throughout their time together, Moore and Willis split their time between Los Angeles and Idaho. Sadly, they announced their separation in June 1998.
WHY DID DEMI MOORE AND BRUCE WILLIS GET DIVORCED?
When Moore and Willis were together, she was one of the entertainment industry’s highest-paid actresses, and Willis was a rising star whose fame skyrocketed after 1988’s “Die Hard.”
The A-listers were the first options casting directors thought of while planning blockbusters, so their schedules were understandably full. However, spending too much time away from each other was not what broke their marriage.
[Moore and Willis] blended their families into a close “tribe.”
A Hollywood producer claimed that although Willis and Moore parted ways in 1998, their problems began in the mid-1990s. The former couple supposedly lived independent lives for “some time” before announcing their split.
Moore’s memoir clarified a few other elements that led to her and Willis’ divorce in 2000, including that he was controlling and wanted her to be a stay-at-home mom while he did whatever he wanted. She said that regularly being separated for work actually prolonged their marriage.
People’s scrutiny was also too much to bear. Tabloids kept reporting a heavy burden on their marriage, and Moore said that the media wouldn’t stop until they were right.
HOW IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP NOW?
Demi Moore and Bruce Willis‘ relationship improved after the divorce. They kept things amicable, focused on co-parenting, and even blended their families into a close “tribe.”
Apart from supporting each other’s films and projects, Moore and Willis were quarantined together for four weeks during the coronavirus pandemic.
His current wife, model Emma Heming, is also close to Moore and is glad that they could welcome each other into their families. Way to go!
