A 32-year-old beat a toddler to death and then tried to clean up his crime before seeking medical care.

Now, he will never hurt a child again.

Recently, an Idaho judge sentenced 32-year-old Aaron Williams to life in prison for the murder of a 2-year-old boy.

If February 2021, Williams was arrested for killing the victim, as

FrontPageDetectives previously reported. The child was not related to Williams but was his fiancée’s. The child was brought to an Idaho health clinic, unconscious and not breathing.

Medical personnel found the boy had fractured ribs, a severed liver and other internal injuries. There was also evidence of a head injury. The child was beaten and strangled and Williams told police it happened after he “lost his cool.”

“This child was beaten to death essentially, or abused to the point that his body could no longer take it,” Prosecutor Tanner Stellmon said in court, as quoted by KTVB 7.

The child was both beaten and strangled and then Williams took time to clean up the evidence before taking the child for medical care, according to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney.

Williams was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. He pleaded guilty to the charge in October 2021.

The judge sentenced him to life in prison, though he will be parole eligible after serving 25 years. He will also have to pay $11,553 in restitution to the victim’s family.

“I extend my deepest condolences to the victim’s family in this case,” said Ada County Prosecutor Jan Bennetts. “My office takes child abuse cases very seriously, and I’m grateful for the work of my team and the Garden City Police Department for their thorough investigation and dedication to this case, as it helped my office ensure justice was served.”
