    Ashawos’ run helter-skelter as police officers burst popular joints in Benin

    A video is making rounds of alleged prostitutes taking to their heels after the police stormed all their popular joints in Benin city.



    It has been alleged that the Edo state Governor, Godwin Obaseki ordered the eradication of all prostitutes “ashawo” from the state.

    Edo state has been known to be an hub for prostitutes with many carrying out their acts across the world.



    In the video, a voice could be heard saying that the ladies who are suspected prostitutes are running for shelter in order not to get arrested by the police.
