Arrested Ogun baby factory operator tells Police Police operatives in Ogun State have arrested two women, Christiana D’ivoire Iyama and Margaret Ogwu, for allegedly operating a baby factory in Agbodo area of the state.
It was gathered that the suspects were arrested on August 27, following credible information received by the police at Agbado divisional headquarters. The command’s spokesperson, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, September 5.
According to him, the Police received information that Christiana Iyama of 4, Ibrahim Famuyiwa street, Agbado, was running a baby factory in her apartment, where she harboured young girls to be impregnated by hired men.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that Margaret Ogwu was one of the girls harboured by Christiana D’ivoire who employed the service of a man to impregnate her and collected the child on delivery, which she sold at the rate of N400,000 to one of her customers.
She also confessed to the police that she has sold up to three children from different women to her different customers,” he said.
