Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested 21-year-old Temple Samuel for stealing his boss’s Lexus ES 330 car.
This was disclosed by the spokesman of the Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, in a series of tweets on his Twitter handle.
Hundeyin said the suspect was arrested in the Ogba area of Lagos State with three others: Benjamin Bassey, 32; Chukwuemeka Okorie, 29; and Joshua Agboche, 37, who allegedly had conspired with him to sell the car.
He said investigation revealed that Samuel, who works in his boss’s car wash at Egbeda, drove the car away in the middle of the night, with his boss’s iPhone X and iPhone 13 to Bassey’s house in Ikeja.
He equally fraudulently transferred N75,000 from his boss’s account.
Hundeyin said Samuel had perfected plans to use the proceeds from the sale of the car and other valuables he stole to process his traveling out of the country.
He said the Command’s Commissioner, CP Abiodun Alabi, has directed that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti for further investigation and prosecution.
