President Muhammadu Buhari has said he is aware of the numerous challenges facing Nigeria and he would not rest until he finds lasting solutions.
He stated this in his Eid-el Kabir message to Muslim faithful and other Nigerians just as he called on citizens to put the interest of the country above selfish interests.
Buhari’s statement reads in part; “I am quite aware of the difficulties people are facing and working to resolve them.” He urged Nigerians to put the interest of the country above selfish interests and also “use religion as a motivation for the love of our common humanity.
“If we are putting the teachings of our religions into practice, most of the evils afflicting our society would have been solved.
“Religion should not just be used as a mere badge of identity, but a motivator for doing good for the country and humanity”.
He assured Nigerians that he is working hard to resolve the country’s economic and security challenges.
“I won’t rest until I bring relief to Nigerians. I am quite aware of the difficulties people are facing and working to resolve them,” the president said
