Controversial pastor and former aide to ex-president Goodluck Ebele, Reno Omokri has in his reaction to the recent attack on Kuje prison by terrorists, expressed thanks to God that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu was not granted his request to be transfered to the Kuje prison by Justice Binta Nyako.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had through his counsel, requested he be transfered from the custody of the Department of State Security Service (DSS) to the Kuje prison. A request the presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako declined citing security reason and others.

Through his Facebook page, Reno Omokri stated that the terrorists would have killed Mazi Nnamdi Kanu if he were in the prison facility during the attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists who reportedly freed their detained members during the attack.

“Thank God Nnamdi Kanu was not at Kuje prison. Who knows what those terrorists would have done to him as they stormed the prison. You can imagine. They kept a freedom fighter in maximum security with DSS, and left hardened terrorists in Minimum security in Kuje! Does that make sense?”

“When Nnamdi Kanu arrives in court, hundreds of soldiers secure the premises. You mean this administration could not send some of those soldiers to guard hardened terrorists in Kuje? These are the types of injustices that gave rise to Kanu’s agitation!”
